Lucas Bambozzi and Maria Montero, curators of Red Bull House of Art, where the work was exhibited in December 2009, in São Paulo city center, wrote in a text about the exhibition:
It is not always possible to see such an interesting “cause-consequence” relation in works that deal with interactivity or new media. In 'The Transport', events that result from interaction imply risks and involve responsibilities attributed to the public that activates the system. This is noticeable through an interaction awareness that is immediately raised visually and which attracts a particular interest for the physical displacement of a large object. It is an object that archetypically symbolizes the common idea of weight (and the possibility of an accident caused by its aerial transportation).
But it also evokes thoughts about harmony (as a decorative object that is commonly seen in sophisticated spaces) or as an instrument that produces a kind of music that is associated with finesse and refinement. The Transport #1 presents well these extremes concepts, which also induce us to see an ironic use of wireless communication systems in a disturbing occupation of the physical space by means of remote actions that join the flow of immateriality and worldly things.
