The Lovers, 2009 - Apresentado na exposição Grau Zero no Paço das Artes em São Paulo - Curadoria: Priscila Arantes e Fernando Oliva

The Lovers, parte da performance The Lovers - The Great Wall Walk de Marina Abramovic e Ulay, na qual ambos percorrem a Muralha da China e se encontram para finalizar um relacionamento amoroso. Na mosta Grau Zero, exibida no Paço das Artes, esta obra teve início com o término do relacionamento entre dois dos maiores ícones da indústria de consumo: Barbie e Ken. Durante a abertura da exposição, dois visitantes foram convidados a levar os bonecos, que deveriam permanecer com eles por cinco dias. No final desse período, deveriam ser repassados para outras pessoas que ficariam por mais cinco dias, e assim por diante. Os bonecos portavam celulares acessíveis de qualquer outro telefone, permitindo que o lugar onde eles estavam, pudesse ser ouvido remotamente por qualquer pessoa. O trabalho incluiu um blog composto por fotografias, vídeos e sons gerados pelos participantes, que exibiram os lugares pelos quais os bonecos passaram. The Lovers, by Claudio Bueno, is based on the performance of 'The Lovers - The Great Wall Walk', by Marina Abramovic and Ulay, when both walk along The Great Wall of China and then meet to break up a love relationship. In Grau Zero this piece starts at the point when two icons in the consumption industry break up. At the exhibition opening, two visitors are invited to take the dolls and keep them for five days, after which they are to be passed on to two other people who will keep them for five days as well, and that goes on and on. The dolls have cellular phones that are reachable from any other phone. The work includes a blog made up photos generated by the viewers and will show the places where the dolls have been.
